As we come to the middle of June (already?!), a number of our theatre and live entertainment venues have shows opening, or gearing up to do so, here on the beautiful California Central Coast!

The San Luis Obispo Little Theatre's (www.slolittletheatre.org) production of Sherlock's Last Case runs through June 20. [NOTE: attended the Saturday evening performance of opening weekend, and this is one of the cleverest whodunit productions I've ever seen on stage - WELL worth an investment of your time and entertainment budget!]

In addition, You won't want to miss an encore performance of the dark reindeer-tell-all Christmas comedy The Eight: Reindeer Monologues on June 21 (adult language - NOT intended for children!) , and a readers' theatre presentation of Incorruptible, a farce by Michael Hollinger and directed by Jill Turnbow, on June 25.

Theatrikos Theatre Company is holding a Christmas in July fundraiser with Friday and Saturday performances of "The Eight: Reindeer Monologues."

In the play, the eight reindeer dish about the real Santa. All those rumors you've heard about him and the elves? About Rudolph's little secret? About Vixen's story that was leaked to the press? All true. Yes, the reindeer finally speak up and they do not hold back. The show is for mature audiences.

Performance of "The Eight: Reindeer Monologues" will be Friday at 10 p.m. and Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door. Seating is limited to 40 people per show. It's official. Wheels have been set in motion and there's no way we're stopping now. We've paid the first installment for the space at the Red Room theatre in the East Village of New York City. We've received confirmation from Baker's Plays that our right to the show have been approved. And the reindeer have just about all been cast. If you're unfamiliar with this show, I'd say it's due time you come to know this hilarious and supremely dark collection of reindeer monologues.

What is Theatre in the Raw?
To stay fresh, current and exciting we are introducing, "Theatre in the Raw", an escape from what some may call traditional theatre. "Theatre in the Raw" is being developed as a way to expose our audiences to the many wonderfully diverse, controversial, dark, funny, witty and different types of plays and or musicals that you might see in larger cities. These shows are not meant for everyone but they might be meant for you. This is theatre without all the bells and whistles. Here a director will take the script with an ensemble of actors and really work on presenting the play. No fancy lights or sets just a quality show and it's your opportunity to talk back to us. After each performance join us for an informal discussion about the play with the actors and director and give us feedback on what you thought and where we might go in the future.

Front & Centre has compiled a very talented cast for The Eight: The Reindeer Monologues, part of their annual Christmas season of theatrics! The show is the first in a new series entitled "Red Curtain Productions" which will feature plays written specifically for an adult audience that deal with more mature subjects, but still have artistic merit. Those 17 and under will not be admitted.
