"The Eight: Reindeer Monologues' performed this weekend in the Battelle Atrium. The performances were put on by AU's performance troupe called The Rude Mechanicals. The picture features Thom Ferlisi, a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences as Cupid, known in the show as the openly gay reindeer; Justin Mushnick as Dasher and Erica LeMaster as Blitzen. The Eight Reindeer Monologues were directed by Eric Jost, a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Anthropology. Its purpose is to raise awareness about sexual assault. In the monologues, each of the reindeer gives his or her take on the accusation that Santa raped Vixen. All of the performances this weekend were dedicated in loving memory of Chris Salazar, the former Class of 2005 president who died last month in an accident at his Northwest D.C. apartment.
