ELIZABETH. Danny? Can you hear me?
DANNY. Elizabeth? Is that you?
TONY. (to the others) Hes lucid! Hes lucid! Everybody!(ALL THE OTHERS crowd around the hospital bed, eager to speak with him.)
DANNY. What happened?
ALEX. We all came as soon as we heard the news.
ROGER. Ooh, that sounds dirty!
TONY. Shut up, Roger!
ELIZABETH. Danny, the Doctor says theres not much time, and youve been going in and out.
DANNY. How much time do I have?
TONY. Danny, this is serious. This may be our last chance.
DANNY. Whats wrong with me?
TONY. Thats what we want to talk to you about.
ELIZABETH. Theres so much we have to tell you. I dont know where to begin.
ROGER. Go on, Elizabeth.
ELIZABETH. Well (pause) Your penis is a little bent.
ELIZABETH. And at first it was interesting, you know, different. But after awhile, it just got to be like "Come on! Give me a break already! Thats not the only itch that needs scratchin, you know what I mean? (continues...)(TONY, ALEX and ROGER all chime in simultaneously with their monologues )

ROGER. Im gay! Okay, there I said it Im gay! And not just a little gay like Tony. (continues...)
DANNY. (beat) Why are you telling me all this??(EVERYONE else joins in with their monologues )
STEPHANIE. Hi! You dont know me, but I was just walking by, and I heard you was loaded. (continues...)
DUGAN. Heres the plan. When the lights go out, you make for the door. (continues...)
CULLEN. Ive been thinking about this, and I want to take back everything I said. (continues...)
(RICHARD bursts into song.)
RICHARD. (sings, ad lib) No ones gonna miss you when youre gone! Weve really had it! The day you die will be the happiest day of my life! Why dont you DIE already? Die, already! Die! Die! Die! Die! Die, already!(Eventually, the DOCTOR bursts in.)
DOCTOR. All right, thats it! Visiting hours are over! I told you people you didnt have much time with him. Youre gonna have to come back tomorrow. We open at 8 am. Go on home, let the man rest.(They all go out, grumbling, as the )
(LIGHTS FADE TO BLACK.)
