ONCE UPON A TIME

                         COMPANY
Once upon a time,
Far away, long ago,
     (Far ago & long away)

In a very distant past,
In a land long forgot,
     (On a long forgotten day)

Where the fairy flowers bloom,
Where the rainbow begins,
Where the sun still seems to shine,

There's a story to be told
Full of myth, full of mirth,
Full of magic by design.

                         GNOME
There was a miller had a daughter
And the miller had a hope
That her child become a Queen
Or else an Empress or a Pope

Tactful as a drunken sailor,
The miller let her plan take wing:
She took her daughter by the hand
And led her down to meet the King.

                         COMPANY
Once upon a time,
Far away, long ago,
     (Far go & long away)

In a very distant past,
In a land long forgot,
     (On a long forgotten day)

Lived a King without a Queen,
Lived a girl without a boy,
     (a lass, a lad, a love unborn)

In a legend where they met
In a tale often told
Once upon a sunlit morn...
