A cornfed Iowa youth, Jeff has since moved to California where, among other things, he has written the pilot for MTV's Undressed, and created Disney's animated series American Dragon: Jake Long. He has also written for the Emmy Award-winning animated series Tumble Leaf, Lalaloopsy and Curious George.

He is currently a visiting professor of playwriting at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia, and senior playwright-in-residence with SkyPilot Theatre Company in Los Angeles.
